There is a GigaClock for distance viewing and a NanoClock that's 480 x360. Use the MODE button to toggle between Full-Screen and Titlebarless Windowed Mode. All World Clocks, all Digital Clocks, and the Alarm Clocks show the current time in either 12-hour or 24-hour format. Each Alarm Clock has:
Each Countdown Timer has:
The StopwatchThe most recent 7 Stopwatch elapsed time intervals are displayed at the bottom right of the window, along with a bar graph showing the relative percentages of each in relation to the longest time interval. The longest time readout is also highlighted in the current Stopwatch color. Click the NANO button to put the Stopwatch controls into a small window that floats above other apps. World ClocksWorld Clocks are configured via the TIME ZONES button, by Region and City. There is a SPECIAL Region for selecting Middle Earth locations, and for TWiT (Leo Laporte) and the Ars Technica Orbiting Headquarters. Stellar CartographyIn the Stellar Cartography DATA visualization, the eight major planets of the Sol solar system are cycle animated along with planet stats and random data. Typically you use this when running the app as a quasi-screensaver in full-screen mode. Live Long and Prosper. \\// |

Quick Start Guide |
Top BarThe STARDATE button toggles between a millennium version of TNG stardates and more human readable stardates. The NANOCLOCK button switches to a small window that shows the time and date. Put it in a corner for quick glances. The ABOUT button slides the view with app credits into the main window.
Column Buttons - Upper SectionClick the THEME button to go to the next theme. Click the button to its right to go to the previous theme. Use the MODE button to toggle between Full-Screen Mode and Windowed Mode. The GIGACLOCK button shows the view with just a huge digital clock and the date. Click the interior of the GigaClock view to return to the normal view. In Windowed-Mode you can drag the window by the edges or within the top and bottom bars. Use the BRIGHTESS button to dim or lighten the window. Dimming the the window at night is really useful. Note: When an alarm fires, the app automatically undims the app and brings it to focus. You'll really appreciate this when you wake up and it's clearly visible and waiting for you. The MUTE button toggles between standard and military time. The 12/24 HOUR button toggles between standard and military time. The SECONDS button toggles the seconds on and off. This effects all clocks that display seconds.
Column Buttons - Lower SectionThe ALARM CLOCKS button shows the view with the controls for the two alarm clocks. The TIMERS button shows the view with the controls for the two countdown timers. The STOPWATCH button shows the view with the controls for the stopwatch. The WORLD CLOCKS button shows the view with the four world clocks. The TIME ZONES button shows the view with the controls where you can set the times zones for each of the four world clocks. The DATA button shows the view with the cool data visualization animations and the STELLAR CARTOGRAPY view with the Planets of the Sol System.
Alarm Clocks
In the screenshot up above, of the bottom-right of the panel, are the controls for setting the Time for the alarm clock and the sound FX that will be used when they are fired. Setting Sound FXThe SOUND button auditions the currently selected sound FX. It does NOT control the volume of the sound. The Orange UP button selects the next sound. The Orange DOWN button selects the previous sound. When clicking either button, the new sound plays. The number of the currently selected sound is shown between the UP and DOWN buttons. Setting the Alarm ClocksInside the bracket graphics, the UP and DOWN buttons allow you to set the absolute time when the Alarm Clock will fire. (Hours:Minutes) If you keep the mouse pressed down when clicking, they will continuously update automatically. They will also rollover to the start/end when you go past the max/min, respectively. To engage/disengage the alarm, click the START button. When engaged, the button turns red and the text changes to STOP. Also, the status readout changes from OFF to ENGAGED. The progress bar also becomes visible and will progressively shorten rightwards every second. When the alarm fires, the brackets begin flashing, and the SNOOZE button becomes visible and you can click it to reset the alarm to automatically fire again after five minutes. This will also reset the progress bar to a five minute countdown interval. You can snooze the alert indefinitely. If you press the SNOOZE button, the Alarm Status Readout will change to SNOOZING. When you STOP the firing alert, it does NOT disengage the Alarm Clock. In other words, the Alarm Clock will fire again automatically, 24 hours later the next day. Of course, if you press the STOP button a second time, e.g. after dismissing the alert, then the Alarm Clock will be completely OFF. NOTE:For the Alarm Clocks ONLY, you can change the firing times even if an Alarm Clock is already engaged, and it will automatically update. For the Countdown Timers, you must turn them OFF before changing the values.
Countdown Timers
Setting the Countdown TimersInside the bracket graphics, the UP and DOWN buttons on the right side of the panel allow you to set the amount of time that needs to elapse before the Countdown Timer will fire. (Hours:Minutes:Seconds) If you keep the mouse pressed down when clicking, they will continuously update automatically. They will also rollover to the start/end when you go past the max/min, respectively. Disengaging the Countdown TimerJust like the alarm clocks, to engage/disengage the alarm, click the START/STOP button. Countdown Timers can't snooze and they won't fire again tomorrow because the remaining time is zero. However, you can quickly reset the timer back to the value it had when it was started, using the RESET button. Use the CLEAR button to change all the timer values to zero. You can have a sound fx for both timers, which can be different from the one used for the alarm clocks.
Stopwatch
The interior STOPWATCH button (to the right of the CLEAR button) toggles the stopwatch count-up timer ON/OFF. Use the CLEAR button to delete all currently recorded stopwatch times from the bar graph readout. Click the NANO button to show a small window with the Stopwatch controls that floats above other apps. |
